Dr. Tatjana Farley

Dr. Tatjana Farley is an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling, Family Therapy, and Higher Education. She serves as the field experience coordinator and is core faculty for the marriage and family therapy program. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of North Carolina, a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a member of the National Council on Family Relations.

Dr. Farley is an alumna of the Appalachian State marriage and family therapy program and received her Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from Florida State University. In 2022, she received the AAMFT Graduate Student Research Award

Her research focuses on anger and aggression, developmental trauma, and how the interrelationship connects youth to the juvenile justice and foster care systems. She is a member of AAMFT, NCAMFT, ad NCFR.
